Towards the end of 2012, the three pointed star appeared on a neat
little compact car: the Mercedes B class. Aimed at the luxury market having
such popular models as the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3, the Mercedes B class is the
least expensive of the Mercs. Although not eye catching for its exterior and
not really conveying a sense of luxury in the interior, it is nevertheless a
great car. It has been labelled by the German creators as "India’s first sports
tourer".
Adjustable boot space |
The Mercedes B Class seats 4 comfortably, with place for a
fifth passenger when the storage side is adjusted. The driver seat can be
adjusted for height. There is good leg room at the rear too, as is the head
room for tall people. There is plenty of boot space for just about all types of
luggage. Seven airbags is also really good to have!
Colour options of the Mercedes B Class are: Polar Silver
Metallic, Cirrus White and Jupiter Red.
You can drive the Mercedes B Class both in the city and take
it for long drives on the open highway. Smooth acceleration and good handling
makes for an overall enjoyable ride. Incorporated is the unique speed-sensitive
steering with variable power steering assistance. Note, though, that it has a
heavy kerb weight. The downside is that there is no diesel variant and it lacks
a four wheel drive option.
