The Mahindra Rodeo RZ is the new variant of the earlier
125cc Rodeo. A new feature is the position of the fuel tank, which
is now positioned in the front to enable easy filling up without the need to
get off the seat.
The Mahindra Rodeo RZ has more colour options and a coloured hue to the
instrument panel. In fact, the instrument panel has got 2 great warning
aspects: for one, it shows up a warning red light if you go over 60kph – so no
over-speeding! – and, secondly, it sets off an alarm if you try to start the
two-wheeler when the side stand is still in position.
The Rodeo RZ has better ground clearance than its previous
avtar and the brakes respond instantly. Working on a 124.6cc 4-stroke engine,
the scooter is good enough to drive on city roads.
The storage space in the
boot is really good – not only spacious enough for your helmet & a small
shopping bag, but it also lighted up.

Charging point for mobile/iPod |
Yet another great feature is the mobile charging point at a
convenient position near the storage space at the front. So it is really easy
to simply put your cell phone or iPod in that space and charge it up while riding the
Rodeo RZ. Cool!
Incidentally the
Rodeo RZ is not easy to steal because the special anti-theft key which closes
the key slot fully cannot be used in the keyhole of any other model.
Overall, the Mahindra Rodeo RZ is a wonderful scooter to own
as far as driving is concerned. However, the main problem as reported by riders
is the low mileage (sometimes less than 30kpl as reported). What’s more, it is
really expensive as compared to two-wheelers which operate on the same type of
engine.
Price of Mahindra Rodeo RZ: Rs.48,900/- (ex-showroom Delhi).
