Bajaj RE60 features and price in India

Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) has introduced its low cost passenger vehicle at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. The company officials insist that it is not a car but a four-wheeler for ferrying people. They state that the lightweight RE60 is a "dramatic improvement" on the 3-wheeler vehicles which carry passengers in small towns & cities.

The smallest 4-wheeler to be designed, the RE60 is said to be environmental-friendly with a CO2 emission of 60gm per km. One of the versions will be a fuel injected CNG vehicle.

The price of the Bajaj RE60 in India is likely to be somewhat similar to that of the Tata Nano car.

The Bajaj RE60 will likely be launched in India in mid-2012 after it makes its debut abroad, perhaps in Sri Lanka.
