As implied by the name, the Razer Tron gaming mouse has Tron-like features with unique light and sound effects & colours. Shape-wise, it has a hard plastic exterior and glossy finish. It is accompanied by a hard surface mat (also designed by Razer). The base has a rubberized texture to grip the surface on which it is placed. There are no sharp edges to the mat.

The Tron gaming mouse uses a 5600 dpi 3.5G laser sensor and there is generally no lag, with the mouse in sync with the mat. All the buttons on the Tron gaming mouse are sturdy and do not wobble. Even the wheel for scrolling is firm, with a rubberized grip. In fact, the mouse is designed to be equally comfortable for both right and left-handed users.
